Day Trip to Brașov

Join us for a fun day trip to the beautiful medieval city of Brașov. We’ll explore the charming Old Town, stroll through its picturesque streets, enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant, and visit scenic viewpoints overlooking the city.

We’ll travel together from Bucharest in the morning and return the same evening.

– Train from Bucharest to Brașov
– Walk through Brașov’s historic Old Town
– The Black Church
– Strada Sforii (Rope Street)
– Optional cable car ride to the top of Tâmpa Mountain, followed by a walk back down to Brașov
– Panoramic views over Brașov from the White Tower and Black Tower viewpoints
– Optional lunch together at a local restaurant
– Walk along the old city walls and historic fortifications
– Free time for coffee, drinks, shopping or exploring the Old Town
– Train back to Bucharest

(1) The round-trip train fare for the recommended trains is 116.50 RON per person (75 RON to Brașov and 41.50 RON back to Bucharest). Participants should also expect optional personal expenses, such as lunch, drinks, or snacks.
(2) The recommended trains are InterRegional 16591, departing Bucharest Nord at 07:30 and arriving in Brașov at 10:02 (Wagon 6, my seat: 57), and Regio Călători 11038, departing Brașov at 17:18 and arriving at Bucharest Nord at 20:11 (Wagon 1, my seat: 30). If possible, please book a seat in the same wagon and close to mine so we can sit together. Participants taking the morning train will meet directly on the train.
(3) Participants are not required to take the recommended trains. If you prefer to drive to Brașov or take a different train, you are very welcome to join us there. If you are arriving in Brașov separately, please contact me in advance by phone or WhatsApp at 075-1122286, so we can arrange a meeting point and approximate meeting time in Brașov.
(4) Please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather.
