Day trip to Sinaia

A relaxed day trip to Sinaia with a scenic hike to Poiana Stânei Regale and the nearby Stâncile Franz Joseph, where we can enjoy beautiful mountain views.
We’ll travel by train from Bucharest (or meet directly in Sinaia), hike together at a relaxed pace, and then return to town for an optional lunch at a local restaurant and some free time before taking the train back to Bucharest.

(1) Train details and exact departure times will be published closer to the event.
(2) Round-trip train tickets from Bucharest to Sinaia usually cost approximately 60–80 RON, depending on the selected trains.
(3) Please wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes suitable for forest and mountain paths.
(4) The hike to Poiana Stânei Regale and Stâncile Franz Joseph is relatively easy, but involves a steady uphill walk. We will reach an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters.
(5) The uphill walk is expected to take approximately 1.5–2 hours at a relaxed group pace, including short breaks.
(6) Bringing some water and a light snack is recommended.
(7) Lunch at a local restaurant after the hike is optional and paid individually.
(8) Participants can join us from Bucharest Nord or meet the group directly at Sinaia train station.
